The NIHR Research Design Service South East, (RDS SE), provides free advice and support to researchers to help them to develop and design high-quality research proposals in applied health and social care for submission to NIHR and other national, peer-reviewed funding competitions. The RDS can provide access to a range of expertise in research design, statistics, health economics and patient & public involvement

Dr Bernadette Egan
Bernadette is the Academic Lead for the Surrey site of the Research Design Service South East, and also provides research design advice and support to researchers.
Bernadette also holds a position in the University of Surrey’s Department of Psychology as a research fellow within the Food, Consumer Behaviour, and Health Research Centre - where she has worked on a range of funded projects, such as the Food Standard Agency, and the EU.
